BSA.org, my privicy and ....... I have recently been the recipient of the BSA.org's "we have found your customers been an naughty boy" letter from my ISP - strangely enough I am not angry at BSA but I have to say in retrospect - Limewire is the whipping boy here.
Here comes the flamebait - I have been a staunch advocate of limewire for at least the last 14 months and I have strayed once or twice but come back to the performance the clean lines, the connection and download speeds, but due to one major glitch I will be reducing the use of this fine P2P program to desktop decoration and NO more.
Where is the auto update lists for the IP filtering/blocking ??? Is it too much to ask that we - the many - don’t get harassed by the few for the little we share back to the many!
I am no ignoramus I have made the conscious decision to share what was shared to me so I thought why cant Limewire who have gladly taken my money – versed me on the evils of my potential and then let me loose on an unsuspecting world to wreak havoc with XYZ corporation’s multi-squillian dollars bottom line profit projection support me/us with this feature.
So part two of this little tirade is – How is possible that a simple Torrent client can have an autoupdating “safepeer” plug-in but after the amount of development Limewire has enjoyed and the good amount of hard earned money thrown at it to get the PRO version; is the auto update lists for IP blocker too much to ask for??
RIP my little Limy
