First, can you check a couple of benchmarks?
1. Go to
http://www.broadbandreports.com/stest and try one of their speed tests. This will tell you your regular Internet connection speed.
2. How do you connect to the internet (equipment like hubs and routers, home ISP/school LAN, etc)
3. In your LimeWire, go to Preferences->Bug Reports->sample bug report and look for "received incoming this session=True (or false). You can email or message me the bug report if you like, since it's too cumbersome to post it here.
4. What happens when you run Jaguar's System Preferences->Software update?
