Talking A few suggested changes.

Firstly, it is rarely that I am impressed with programs these days as many of them are really bloated and slow. XoloX is one of the few programs which stability, speed and useability really impress me. About the only other P2P app which has impressed me to such a level, is WinMX. Morpheus/KaZaA, Limewire, etc, are all VERY slow applications which consume loads of memory and run very poorly indeed, but XoloX (I am pleased to say), likes my humble K6/2 and my humble modem quite a lot.

Anyway! Onto the point of this message. XoloX is indeed a very new package, and I have a few small suggestions for features to improve it (nothing too big here )).

1) I know I can limit my upload bandwidth, but please can I be told EXACTLY what this will limit my download bandwidth to please?

2) In the download window, please include a column for speed in k/s (preferably the total speed of the download, taking into consideration any multiple sourced downloads).

3) Clicking on a file in the search window should start downloading the file. This is important because the file is underlined when the cursor is over it, which makes the file look very much like an HTML hyperlink and to follow one of these, we just left click. Not a major gripe this, just something that would benifit the program a little. either this, or remove the underlined file names so people are not drawn into the assumption that clicking on the file does something.

4) When a file is downloaded and shown as complete, right clicking should reveal a "run" option, similar to that in the "Files" window.

5) The columns in the "Upload" section need sorting out as I only have a "Spee...." column at the end, and the column widths in the upload section are not changeable.

Saying all this, I do only have version 1.09, because XoloX downloaded the update.bin file and does not seem to have done much with it. So! I'll try grabbing the latest version and I'll post again if there are any changes to be made.

Other than that, congratulations on making a fast, simple but powerful program which does exactly what it is supposed to and nothing more, making it the most efficient program for the job in hand (ie. downloading).

Dave!!
