RE: LimeWire and SP2 If you actually read all the documentation on SP2 this problem is EASY to figure out. Simply, I can't come up with a solution. As part of an anti-worm feature Windows will only allow so many connections to be made at one time. One a program reaches this limit, it is denied futher access to the internet. *Hides from the gods* I don't mean to advertise for other programs, as Shareazza sucks, but it has a popup on this subject. *Shareazza doesn't work for me either tho*.
I see no current solution to this besides LimeWire's Outgoing connections at one time to be limited, and all Ultrapeers being restricted to SP1 and before computers.
I have completely disabled my firewall in WinXP SP2, and even ditched my router, formatted, reinstalled, and tried everything I can think of. Still no luck with getting it working again. Maybe everytime it trys to connect to more than 5 servers Windows writes the Denial to the Registry. Who knows what nazi activities MicroSoft is up to now.
