Unless I'm mistaken, I think the new beta 4.1.8 already has this (using Ctrl+click on mac I don't know about pc), which gives a priority sorting list & column in the dwnld pane. As suggsted I know little about it & cannot expand any more at this point. The beta also has pause dwnlds option.
