wmv=windows video media file (MS windows media player file)
avi=Audio Video Interleave (an MS video format) avi can come in different forms.
swf=shockwave file (a Macromedia Flash file) can be played by flash player, Quicktime player & some others, & online shockwave player, & some others.
asf=Advanced Streaming Format (by MS) Various players can play it.
