No panic & sorry about the [Edit] there, but the rules here are basic... No mention of
copyrighted material.
But, to your question...
Normally 'adequate' movie files that you can DownLoad are at least greater than 500MB... OK ?
Normal files (done by people who at least know a little bit about 'ripping' DVDs and VHS sources) are around 650MB to 700MB...
700MB is a very common file size.
Don't ignore files that are much much bigger ! Depending on what you may be using to 'burn' video files to 'playable DVDs', you may find higher quality files... The thing is that you need to experiment and ALWAYS use DVD-RW disks... The opposite of good advice for audio CD creating !
When you search, try different approaches to your searches as in
adding
DVD to your file name search... This 'may' result in a far higher percentage of search returns including DVD 'rips'...
or
Filtering search returns that are smaller than 500MB
But do not ignore the other file formats... Remember, it ain't a perfect world out there and the 'video files' available are being done by the same people who are automatically 'ripping' mp3 files at ridiculously low quality sampling rates.
Have fun and AVOID coa$ter-collecting !
