The instructions are laid out for you. If you don't want to do it then you're probably not ever going to have successful p2p use with any app. Router modems do make things a little more complicated, but really the complications are only surface deep when you 1st look at it. With clear instructions you can fix this issue if you're motivated.

If you wanted to play a game over the net, you'd also have to open up a port, in fact quite a few ports! The same is true for video conferencing which needs many ports open.
It was my ISP who helped me open a port for my modem-router that I bought off them, so I could use LW.
