It sounds like you manually removed Limewire. When you do that the entry stays in your add/remove list but is non functional.

You can remove the entry from the registry but unless you are very versed on editing the registry I wouldn't recommend it.

One thing you might do is re-install Limewire and then remove it through Add/Remove.
