Even searching the net I couldn't find anything on error -37 for win 98. The best I came up with were in reference to error 37: Error codes for windows 98 lol & this & that win 98 forum.

I sould imagine you shouldn't be attempting to open images that are incomplete. Most apps will give some type of error.

How old is your QT Picture Viewer app? Over recent years there's been new variations on older formats. eg: jpeg 2000, new TIFF format with new compression variations & unflatened options, newer PSD versions, etc. all of which Picture viewer that's not up to date will not be able to open.

Perhaps you should try another image viewer app or update your QT.
