That's probably just how the song was encoded, not a proble with LimeWire. Try going to www.winamp.com and downloading a free copy of WinAmp. To change the player in LW, go to tools>options>player and uncheck the box. If the song sounds the same, just try to find a different copy of that song. Good luck.
