Limewire bandwidth hog?! My old PC recently died, and my brand new Imac was super slow loading web pages, and general web use was way slower than old PC. I have broadband cable and my cable connection speed was extremely low, techs from the cable company said it was probably due to "file sharing". I called Apple and they took me through diagnostics to get rid of Limewire as it was hogging a significant portion (nearly all) of my bandwidth. It was also deep rooted in my mac. I dont download .exe's and .vbs file extensions. I've been using Limewire for 4 years now and love it, but not after dealing with what it has done to my atleast my mac. What the heck is the deal? Is it corrupt files users share or what? |
