I have read the posts for this thread dealing with the calculations for upld/dnld speeds 5 times, you'd think I would have figured it out by now. I must be a lot worse at math than what I thought (been too long out of the class room I guess )
. I agree that your beginning thread is clear, but I've never understood the Kb/kb/KB transitions.
Here's what I've done:
1 ) I've tested my upld/dnld speeds and have come to these results: 535 kilobits/723 kilobits respectively.
2) I divide these numbers by 8 and I come up with 67Kb/s and 90Kb/s respectively. It just doesn't seem correct (I assume I have goofed up somewhere).
3) I have tried the link you supplied for calculating your speeds and still get results that are.......overwhelming
I apologize for beating a dead horse but as I say I don't think my synapses are connecting to your plane of thinking. I hope you can help with this, thanks in advance.
