You could help us to help you by supplying a bit more info about your system, but we can know that it is Windows for your OS, at least...

What you have said implies that something... some 'event'... has altered the 'path' from your Desktop Shortcut for BearShare...
The easiest thing for you to do is to simply delete the existing shortcuts for BearShare and re-install BearShare... Alowing for the
launch icon and
BS DownLoads to be once again placed on your Desktop - Afresh !
See if that works for you first... Later, if you reply with a report, we can perhaps help you with other stuff re: configuring BearShare and also some tips on file
management...
Also, Cherri... If you have general computer operating questions in the future - questions that are general and not really specific to one particular 'client' (i.e. BearShare ior LimeWire or whatever), try posting here in the Tips & Tricks Forum...
