The simple answer is no. You'd need an app like Toast for a start. If you do you can just drag & drop them into Toast (Toast version 6 is best for this) & Toast will do any necessary conversion. However keep in mind you cannot have both PAL & NTSC files mixed up on the one DVD ok!
I forgot to mention it's always best to trial your efforts onto a dvd-rw 1st so you are aware of the results & if you want to make any changes before burning to dvd-r. But that's if you have a dvd-rw burner.
