Take ukbobboy01's advice about going to those other sites re: obtaining free softw's.

Get Audacity a free audio editor for OS9 or OSX or Windows. It's just as good as those worth $500. Perhaps just a little slower that's all. It has the capacity to utilise VST plug-ins. The program is a 4 part download. 1. The main program. 2. VST Enabler 3. LAME MP3 encoder 4. PDF instructions 5. Plug-Ins

Audacity can open & save into all types of mp3, AIFF, WAV & MIDI files & even edit mp3 id tags.
