I've read a couple of other threads regarding being forced to "Force Quit" Limewire, and I've gone and did that thing with Permissions with the Utilities but it still doesn't quit.

After each session, I 'update' my saved files to iTunes and the library windows then become empty. I also delete all the files in the incomplete folder. I update that, too...a couple of times because sometimes it keeps finding a couple of scattered files.

I delete all the files that have not loaded from the search window, too, trying to clear everything out.

Nothing. Nada. Won't quit. Updating permissions didn't seem to work.

When I reboot, all the files I thought I deleted were still there and I have to delete them again. If I delete them, how come they're still there? (Aarrrggghhhhhhhhhhh!)

Any other suggestions? It's beyond frustrating at this point.
