I'm probably only going to post here once and once only, but I was so curious, I had to find anyone who knew. I have tested this theory out, does anyone get the same thing as I describe below, and know what it is!?

It's not some sort of wierd conspiracy theorist, I'm not going to run around crying wolf, I just didn't understand something that is slightly....disturbing. I use Limewire 4.2.6 on Win XP.

I was searching for an episode of 'Bullshit!' by Penn and Teller, and was having some trouble finding a specific episode that I wanted to share with my friends. I couldn't find alot, so I tried to be more specific, when I realised something odd.

No matter what I searched for, the first thing I would ALWAYS get, was a tiny file, 114.6kb large, or thereabouts, with the EXACT wording of what I was searching for. I wasn't sure at first, so I decided to type in something random, 'Omega Syndrome', I got the same file, 114.6kb, with the exact wording, and then some similar types of files.

I still wasn't sure, so I tried 'asdfdsfsfsfgh'. I got the same file with the same name. I tried to contact/message the host. Nothing happened. There was no other info provided by the search except that the file was 4 stars quality. Not even a file type or length or anything.

There were other kinds of files like this, it would put an underscore between each letter. No matter what the name of the file, I would get my exact wording printed back at me by a file that was always the same size, 114.6kb.

Try it, try search for something totally random, a sequence of letters and numbers that aren't related to anything. Do you get a file that is spelt exactly the same AND 114.6kb large!? Try it with a different sequence, does the same thing occur, with the same file size!?

I'd really like to know who's tracking my searches, then asking me to download suspiciously small versions of them. Maybe it's only me, but can other people verify this for me? Do any of you guys get it?
