still doesn't work i tried what you suggested but it's still not working (the same "you are not connected to the network" message). This is a message i recieved from Zanzele. Do you see anything wrong with her advice?

Please try the following:
-Uninstall all versions of LimeWire.
-Delete all LimeWire aliases and installers from your desktop and Apple menu.
-Reboot your computer.
-Download another LimeWire Pro installer, using your download url.
-Reinstall LimeWire Pro.
