Another point I forgot to mention is that LW does have a corruption detection process. If all the bits, bytes & nibbles don't match with the original then it will attempt to downld the last part again. It may fail if the original is corrupt or there's continual interference in transmissions, or the original file has changed.
LW cannot detect corrupt movies & music if the file is complete & 'appears' to be normal. At this point that's the responsibility of the user to detect anything wrong with the file by previewing it & using Bitzi. A more experienced forum member or programmer will be able to give a better & more accurate description. |
