That last message just means that as a leaf, many unnecessary messages are filtered out by the ultrapeer you're connected to thus reducing network traffic.

LW itself will decide whether it's ready to switch to ultrapeer (UP) mode. It means your connection must be healthy (& you don't have UP capability disabled under Tools>Options>Speed.)

Some Linksys devices have UPnP capabilities. I don't know how to activate them. But if there's no such switch on the device then perhaps you can check on the Linksys device browser page /Router's Web-based Utility. (Open your web browser, enter 192.168.1.1) The LW UPnP feature helps to prevent the need for port forwarding with UPnP capled devices & also overcome SP2 issues. Otherwise you can choose the 2nd option which is Force IP using port 6346.

Remember that LW has an idle feature so that if it detects the computer has not been used for a period of time, it will reduce UP connections.
