I remember getting more downloaded in the same amount of time, with my same connection, with limewire 1.7d. However Now (because of features and compatability) I use 4.2.6.
I'm not sure I trust 4.6.0 at this time. I'm going to wait and see what other people say about it before trying it. Plus i hear mixed reviews about the different java runtimes to install for new versions.
(I save ALL my old versions on disk, just in case Java or Limwire ever start putting out code that is not in the downloaders best interest.) But so far, I've only noticed the annoyance of the 10 connection limit per download, and the 30 peers + 30 leafs limitation. There may be other limits that I would not appreciate, but I haven't found them yet. So I usually give Limewire, in general, a higher score than any other p2p software client. We will see about this 4.6.0 though. |
