well fotunately i workj for a local cable company installing cable, telephone and internet systems. i think what you're refering to is a homerun line dedicated for data transfer. that really shouldn't matter unless you have a loop system with splitters behind the wall plate or in the eves outside. sometimes those splitters are old and aren't able to support frequencies of 1000mhz which leads to problems.
anyway... i think i figured out the problem but i'm not quite sure. i went into the options and configured everything as suggested i even reduced the number of ports available. so far so good but only time will tell. got my fingers crossed.
