JFYI, it is possible to burn a DVD mp3 disk which will be playable in most dvd players. Which is great if your dvd player is hooked up to your stereo
but of course being a dvd disk won't be able to be played in a normal cd player. (A 4.7 GB DVD disk with mp3's should hold:
all music encoded at 128 kbps = 80 hrs music = equivalent to 64 cd's/59 x 80 min cd's)
all music encoded at 320 kbps = 32 hrs music = equivalent to 25 cd's/24 x 80 min cd's)
These are just rough calculations & just to give an idea of how much music a single 4.7 GB DVD disk can hold if burnt in mp3 format for use on a dvd player or computer. A dual layer 8.5 GB disk should hold 80% more.) Not forgetting dvd disks cannot be played on normal cd players!!!
I've burnt dvd mp3 disk using iTunes & it nicely displays & plays on the dvd player with appropriate menu for artist & album. Then can select songs or just program desired playlist.
But remember if burning a cd to make sure you choose audio format not mp3 disk otherwise you won't be able to play it in your car or portable cd player, etc. And burn at minimum speed available so it's compatible with all cd devices!!! See:
