St3vo28 whilst Linksys modems & routers can utilise UPnP technology, I'm not sure about Netgear. Meaning that forwarding a port might help you. You can find your model here:
http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm & if you choose to do this then start with setting up a static ip, then forward a port (such as 6346), & finish off with
Manual port forward instructions within LW & sample image & 2 posts after that.

Using special programs that detect p2p use. One is called Sandvine.
