I saw that I had Java 151 and 152, as well as 141, and Java web start. So I got rid of 151 and 152, and voila, CPU usage back to normal. Something else positive I noticed is that the lettering was now smaller, and the whole screen for the options was now visible. With 151, the bottom line was not previously visible.
