Default Uploads per person?

Thanks, fabion, for documenting your results.

QUESTION:

Does Options... Uploads... Slots... Uploads per person mean simultaneous uploads? or total uploads? If total, then how/when is it reset? I had interpreted it to mean simultaneous, so I had set it to 3.

I had set mine to 3 per person, 6 slots total (I have a slow PC.) I've just reset it to 5 per person to be on the safe side, and 7 slots.

sberlin::
  • I've reset my DSL modem/NAT router to defaults,
no more TCP/UDP port forwarding, as you requested.
  • I have set LimeWire to UPnP,
and all ordinary LimeWire ULs/DLs seem AOK.
  • HOWEVER: rcvd incoming=false!!!
  • SO, is it worthwhile to even try to test DC DL... ???
  • my buddy Dave is not available till Sunday. I hope to find someone who can duplicate the SBC (ISP) and 2Wire (modem/firewall) config, and test before then. Otherwise further tests are on hold till Sunday.
Meanwhile, ANYBODY willing to test DC DL???

We've discovered an alternative (thanks, sberlin!)
to TCP/UDP port forwarding... UPnP!?

Everything screams real fast now, except
Direct Connect is not tested yet...

I have Tools... Options... Bug Reports...
Received incoming this session: false
but it seems LimeWire DL+UL works AOK anyway,
UPnP must be an alternative to port forwarding,
if your firewall supports it?!

Comments, please?
