I'm a little bit confused by this thread. I checked your previous thread. How are you setting up the most recently added smartlist in iTunes? What is your 1st condition? I've never used this type of smartlist. Mine are based on artist or decade of release date.

I can't fathom out how you could lose songs out of your iTunes music library.

I have noticed that if LW is extremely busy then iTunes might not import the songs. This issue was discussed in your previous thread but I didn't mention this point.

My workflow is: I generally add/change id3 tag info within iTunes after the songs have been imported. I will also compare the iTunes music library to my LW downld folder to ensure all songs have been imported. (On the odd occasion I may add id3 tag info using MP3 Rage before adding to iTunes or else sometimes after adding.) It should be noted that iTunes does not utilise all id3 tag types. That can be a pain in the butt! I need to experiment to find out exactly which ones it does recognise ... but still haven't got around to it.

Can you tell me your workflow with getting the songs into iTunes & at what point you adjust their id3 tags?
