In LW tools>options>advanced>firewall config --- listen on port should be set to 6346 ---- router configuration should be set to UPnP. Your modem/router has the technology.
Next configure your windows firewall to allow LimeWire full access. This link explains how.

Not sure about NSW and if it has a firewall. I run NIS which has a firewall. Symantec suggests it is not good to run 2 firewalls at the same time, so I just use NIS, and have windowsXP sp2 firewall disabled, but if NSW doesn't have a firewall use the windows firewall. You should have one firewall enabled to protect your computer.
You will need to close and restart LimeWire after making the changes. When LW restarts it should connect.
