Hmmm not sure. That should have worked. Did you configure XP's firewall for both TCP and UDP access?

What modem or ethernet card do you have installed in your comp.? How is it connected to you dsl modem -- USB or ethernet cable?

The only thing I can think of is that something is not right with your internet connection. You can see if this helps. In XP start>my computer>my network places>view network connections --- higlight your ethernet card --- click repair this connection on the left side of your screen.
