Rkapsi and Desparate have given you good advice and I hope your problems have now been solved.
If you followed the link Rkapsi provided you will see a post I made outlining my, somewhat, paranoid policy, i.e. I don't download anything that can run, auto-run or could be hidden in a compressed file.
As Rkapsi said, you were infected by downloading stuff through your firewall, remember that you told your firewall to let anything in coming via port 6346, it just happened that the stuff you downloaded were infected. Also, most anti-virus software cannot check if something being downloaded has a virus in it, they can only check once the file is complete.
As long as you are aware of your protective apps limitations then you can take certain steps to work around them and, like I have done, use extra utilities to bolster your protection.
