I move all my downloaded files into my music library. Then, they are accessible by rhythmbox, which I use. You should be able to do the same with whatever player you use.

Also, you will need to go back to Limewire to the Library tab and make sure you enter your music library directory as a shared directory, or other users won't be able to connect to it. You do this through the Tools > Options > Sharing path.
