Can't thank you enough for coming up with the Helvetica suggestion, it solved the problem. All makes sense now, I tidied up all (supposely) unnecessary fonts when I installed Suitcase and that's when my Limewire troubles began.

Activating helvetica.dfont has fixed Limewire and also a shutdown problem that I was having if I had run suitcase.
