Your downld preferences can be corrupted by either a 'system crash' or not closing LW down properly before shutting down the system. In such cases there's no answer but to resume the files from the library & most likely will begin from 0%.

The most important files for backup are in your incomplete folder. 2 files in particular called download.dat & .bak which keep track of your incompelete files progress. You should back these & any other incomplete files that are greater than 0 KB. If you can back up the entire incomplete folder (& perhaps your LW preferences folder found here: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire OR for Win 98 / ME: Your .limewire folder is in "C:\My Documents"
