Dear LimeWireisStupid

It seems that you have made some mistakes and, for some reason, do not feel responsible for those mistakes.

Mistake 1) Surfing or downloading from the internet without a firewall and anti-virus software.

I just got this laptop with a NEW hard-drive. First thing I put on here was LimeWire.(I download my stuff on new computers, in order.) Let me remind you, it was the ONLY thing I downloaded so far.(Not AIM, not Mozilla, none. Only LimeWire.) Next time I went on, LimeWire had downloaded a lot of crap. My fault? NO!
Now, it is obvious that you don't know this but most PCs and laptops are attacked within the first few minutes of going online. Without a firewall your machine advertised itself as vulnerable and without anti-virus protection you got caught.

Mistake 2) You said:

Quote:
Everytime a computer is booted, and turned back on, it downloads ****! 1,000's OF ****!
This is an obvious sign that you and your friends computers are infected with a virus or Trojan (possibly several viruses). Your surfing habits are to blame for this.

Mistake 3) You said

Quote:
They downloaded by them self
Limewire cannot download itself or download anything by itself, there are other users in this forum that have been infected and experienced this same problem.

Mistake 4) You said:

Where did you get your copy from, again you don't know this but, as Limewire is open source, anyone can get it and put anything they like in it. There are no restrictions on who can use or do what they like with it. Plus, it is well known that some scammers pack the program with spyware and other nasties.

You should only download Limewire Basic or Limewire Pro from here:

http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

Anywhere else is just too risky.

I could go on but I think by now you see what I am saying, you went onto the internet without any protection, you downloaded a virus/spyware infested copy of Limewire (from only you know where) and you got hit.

It is not Limewire's fault that you have had this extremely bad experience it is your own.
