Doesn't sound healthy. Normally that type of thing will happen if you don't close LW down properly before you shutdown your comp, or you have a system crash. Remember LW can take up to a minute or so (perhaps longer) before it closes down properly. Might I suggest you close LW down at least 5 mins or perhaps 10 mins before shutting down your comp. Try that & see if it helps. I know when I run my windows it runs very slowly & LW takes considerable time (longer than anybody else to close down properly! lol ) That's b/c I run my windows on a mac via a special program.

One way you can check LW's closed down properly is to control-alt-delete & open the task manager & ensure there's no limewire listed on the list of active programs. If it is then you can either wait or kill the process. Tell us if you find it is still listed several mins after closing LW.

Failing the above, if it still doesn't make any difference, then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire & upon resetting your LW option settings when you restart it, set the days to keep incompletes to 999.
