buggy??? Buggy? BUGGY??
I rawther doubt it.
I've been to XoloX. It seemed fairly good at listing files to get, only fair at actually, fully getting them, quite poor at sending files out, but right smart EFFICIENT at so jamming and crashing my machine that Norton's Crashguard never even TWITCHED. Hmmm...looks like nothing is moving. I'll just close this window-- blink. Lookee, Mama: that's the first screen when it boots up!
I've been to Gnotella. No great shakes for finding stuff, fairly good at sending it out; but after several hours, the processor (900MHz) is running full blast, things are hard to get done on the desktop, and not much else seems to be getting done.
I've been to BearShare. REAL GOOD at getting stuff out the door, not too hot at getting stuff in, and damned sparse at finding the stuff to download at all! Also seemed to risk jams/crashes, though not 1/10th that of XoloX.
I have had LimeWire running continuously for 2 days now, with no hangs attributable to it (we'll leave my flaky CD-Rs out of this, please).
I Veddy Much like what I have seen, so far....
Any numbskull can badmouth something; it takes more than generalities to make one's case! |
