qbertprime yes UPnP is much prefered. So set your Linksys for UPnP & do the same for LW. AFAIK The newer model Linksys have reliable UPnP. But there are times LW or the device doesn't handle UPnP by losing connection. Most Linksys devices 'should' be very safe for the UPnP setting. With UPnP set, port forwarding is not necessary! UPnP does the same job by opening the appropriate port at the request of the program.
TCP & UDP both should be enabled for access. It's your choice of which port to set up to use.
I'll await Inflynx's responses to Ursula's questions before I answer. Knowing the environment of use will help.
