Keep in mind that be it cable, T1 or T3, they might have a large no. of slots open for sharing & thus their upld bandwidth is shared between many users. Also the client can make a difference. eg: Shareaza (RAZA) uses more than one p2p network & they use most of it for one which requires they can only downld as much as they upld so they use most of their bandwidth on this network & often only offer Gnutella users small contributions like 0.1 to 3 KB/s. You can right-click (mac control click) the top of the column headings to show more options such as client/version to show what program you are downlding from. It's always preferable if you're downlding from more than one source. For that reason, I use other skills as much as possible such as DC & browsing which can help with continuing incompletes & also finding more sources. Of course, searching the topic again some time later can often find more sources b/c people log on & off the net all the time.
