I have a LOT of music files on my computer. By and large I ensure that I have none over 192, although one or two I have at higher rates are totally exceptional recordings, and most of the music I listen to really does not warrant a high bit rate as the recordings are less than perfect most of the time. If all my files were 320, I should need a new computer. I have yet to be convinced that there is any need for a greater bit rate than 192, 256 tops, unless you are using extraordinarily expensive hi-fi equipment, in which case I would have thought CDs, Lossless files, or even good old vinyl would be what you should play to get the best from it.
+ it takes twice as long to download a 320 file than a 160, thats what I feel anyway. |
