You can see this in action when you check the Monitor section of LW, you can see the IPs of the PCs downloading shared files from you. Likewise, your IP can be seen by PCs you are downloading from.
That IP, when examined, will lead directly back to your ISP and, via your ISP logs, lead back to you.
