Default Shareaza 2.1.4.0 changelog concerning g1

One member of this forum posted that the new shareaza 2.1.4.0beta did not improve it´s g1 support.

It´s true that it´s still not perfect (lacking g1-ultrapeer-support due to stability-problems[it was enabled in 2.1.0.147alpha]).

Nevertheless some improvements have been made. Here they are:

- G1 connection/hosts tweak

- Specify protocol option added to G1/G2 neighbour connection attempts

- RTL support

- Extra networks greyed out if bandwidth is low.

- Specify protocol option added to G1/G2 neighbour connection attempts

- Alt-source fixes

- Tweaked neighbor handshakes on connection

- Reduced un-necessary webcache queries

- Discovery services better at selecting appropriate service to query

- Added limiting and a throttle to the manual 'Find More Sources' command to prevent network abuse

- Tweaked various connection query throttles

- Added hard limit of 64 for HTTP queues

- Tweaked the local check when UltraPeer mode is forced.

- HTTP guard queue added

- G1 ultrapeer and G2 hub mode separated

- Status bar displays Hub/Ultrapeer in power view.

- Stats for ultrapeer mode added

- Hub/Ultrapeer capability detection functions improved.

- G1 mode selector re-enabled in Gnutella settings

- Updated Gnutella settings page

- Added discovery service classification (in gwebcache.txt) to eliminate unnecessary queries and speed connection.

- Fixed the X-Thex-URI header in HTTP transfers

- Shareaza now correctly detects GWebCaches that support both G2 and G1 hosts

- Added detection of Gnutella alt-locs from a queryhit

- Fixed a bug with GGEP blocks

- Assert causing G1 crashes removed

- Improved detection of bad ultrapeers

- Added support for Unicode characters in a URN

- Added support for Gnutella UTF-8 queries

There are some other changes that have an influence on shareaza´s behaviour on g1 and there are most likely some more changes concerning g1 only that are not listed here. For a complete changelog visit the shareaza-forums at www.shareaza.com .
