2 options I can think of. If you have windows Xp then see this: System restore for deleted files

Otherwise you'll need a file recovery program lik Norton or else, get PC Inspector File Recovery (click on link) which is free.

*** Actually it sounds to me like you logged into a different account to the one you normally log into & that's why your previous settings are gone!
