You could try adding some host addresses by hand into the Connected Hosts box. It does sometimes work. You can get a list from
www.gnufrog.com.
Or - if you have a version with a Communities tab, try connecting to one of the other areas.
Both of these options are a 'sometimes it works' and by no means a sure thing and don't give up at the first failure, it takes a few tries. But give it a go - it works 'sometimes' for me.
