I got a copy of mp3tag v.2.31 from Tucows, examined the tag on the malfunctioning mp3, saved the file then it played fine. There may have just been too much data in the tag or too long of file name. Guess I'll mark em all read only and see if that helps any. Prolly not though. I don't know if there is a difference between the ID3v1 and ID3v2 tag and if it was written in one format and Limewire adds to it in another if that caused the problem. I guess they are just fragile files.
I'll just always make copies of my favorite ones and save em in a safe location.

I wasn't very kind too all my albums in my younger days, now they don't sell record players, I don't think anyway. So at least the mp3s I got of the albums I own are good enough for me as long as I can keep those playing.

And on the media players... I only use WMP because RealPlayer is adware and WinAmp takes too long to load. Though do like all the features in winamp and use it often.

Especially for watching the simpsons on Shoutcast.

I figured it would be easier to modify the tag using LimeWire but guess I really don't need to 'cause I know what the file is and who it is.

And if you think that's confusing you should hear what I was thinking...

All's well that ends in the well.

Thanks for the Input.
