Limewire is a first class p2p application. It is not a first class media player. It is very easy to configure things so that tunes are played in a different media player by default and I really recomend it as the sound from the Limewire player is ... er ... not exactly perfect

Many players cost nothing, they organize things for you and once you have taken a little time out to install the player and adjusted your settings .. Life will be easier and the sounds better. If you use iTunes it should be open all the time you use Limewire anyway, and it is just as easy to open tunes there as in Limewire.
