I've had and used WinMX for some time but recently it hasn't been connecting so I went to it's web site via Google and paid $29 something for a download which turned out to be LimeWire.
This is similar to Winmx but seems to be a totally different company. Was I take? The site I went to was; www.mp3musicwebsite.com/winmx/winusgg/index.htm
