Two things for this problem:
1. What is your Speed set at on the "Tools/Preferences/Network:Uploads Screen?
A low number decreases you search capacity. Try setting it to "Max" (which is befor the number 1) and see if this helps.
2. You might try simply reinstalling the program to fix the other problem. How long has this not been clearing result? Have you tried restarting the program? or even you computer?
