The question I aked which I most wanted you to answer, was: which version of Limewire were you using before ... ie the Basic version which I have gathered you have reinstalled. Go to Limewire>about Limewire and it will tell you.
Additionally exactly which OSX? Memory and Processor (All these can be found clicking the Blue Apple>about this Mac
Also which pro version are you having no luck with. I am guessing that it is 4.9.30 or .33 but would be interested if you can confirm.
I use 4.9.29 Limewire pro and I have always had reservations about upgrading hense my interest + which I'd like to help sort out your problem
