I've recently had a problem with bearshare crashing readily just after the downloads show on the screen. Not knowing what to do about it, I ask for your help.

Up until now, bearshare has worked quite well for the past couple weeks since installing it. As for a possible cause, I want to dismiss the 'zone alarm' virae from chanting that as the cause. I have done nothing to my zone alarm settings since installing bearshare.

I have a huge amount of research to do and much of it is bound up in my current downloads awaiting completion. Copying each and every download in progress and transferring all of that manually into another, hopefully more realiable, search engine would be a daunting task taking nearly a week to do, full time.

I've already tried reinstalling it, didn't make a difference.

Does anyone else have experience with bearshare's IE related crashes and dysfunctions?
